Occupational Health and Safety
Occupational Safety/Hygiene Officers from WorkSafeBC inspect workplaces to ensure compliance to the Workers Compensation Act and the Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Regulation. Employers may have concerns with:
- interpretations and applications of the Workers Compensation Act, the OHS Regulation, policies and guidelines
- orders
- warning letters
- administrative penalties
- variance applications
- discriminatory action complaints
If you disagree with an OHS decision, please contact our office as soon as possible as there are different courses of actions depending on the type of OHS decision. Please contact your local Employers’ Advisers Office. |
