On May 1, 2012, minimum wage increased to $10.25 per hour for most workers. The liquor server minimum wage increased to $9.00. These increases are the last of three scheduled increases to minimum wage.

On May 1, 2011, minimum wage was increased to $8.75 per hour for most workers, and the training wage was repealed.

On November 1, 2011 the minimum wage rate increased to $9.50.

On May 1, 2011 a separate minimum wage of $8.50 came into effect for employees who serve liquor. This rate increased to $8.75 on November 1, 2011.

Workers who are subject to alternate minimum wage provisions in the Employment Standards Regulation received corresponding increases on a percentage basis.

Piece rates for hand harvesting certain crops were also adjusted as a percentage of the general minimum wage increase on May 1, 2011. Following an in-depth review, piece rates for hand harvesting certain crops remain at those rates.
