| Text of Legislation
"newspaper carrier" means a person who sells or delivers newspapers directly to customers or households, but does not include a person who is engaged in bulk delivery; |
| Policy Interpretation To be considered a “newspaper carrier” the employee must be delivering a “newspaper” as defined in this section of the Regulation. Under s.37.4(1) a newspaper carrier who is enrolled in, or on vacation from a primary or secondary school and is employed as a newspaper carrier for 15 hours or less in a week, is exempt from the Act in its entirety. Under s.37.4(2) a person employed as a newspaper carrier for 15 hours or less in a week, is exempt from the following sections of the Act:
